Short-Form Video Editing Cost: Reels, TikTok, Shorts
The short answer
Pages checked in November 2026 put a single short-form edit at roughly $30 to $500 depending on who sells it, and monthly packages at roughly $295 to $5,000. The fair way to compare them is cost per finished clip, including revisions and turnaround: the packages that state their output work out to about $37 to $125 a clip, while one-off agency clips sit at $100 to $500.
How much does short-form video editing cost?
Pages checked on November 6, 2026 put one short-form edit (a Reel, TikTok or Short under about a minute) anywhere from $30 to $500. The spread is mostly who is selling. A freelancer on a listing site starts near $50, a productized agency lists $100 to $300 a clip, and monthly packages run from about $295 to $5,000. Every figure below is the named page's own number, not a 1920 Agency price, and most of these pages are written by firms that sell editing, so read them as asking prices.

How do you compare them? Cost per finished clip
Package pages rarely state a per-clip price, and they bundle different things, so the headline numbers cannot be compared directly. Dividing by output (our arithmetic, not a market price):
- Ad Snipper works out its $295 to $795 subscription tiers to roughly $37 to $99 a clip.
- The Contra 12-video listing at $1,500 comes to $125 a clip, with two revision rounds per video and delivery within 24 hours of each brief.
- beCreatives' own example: 10 videos at $150 is $1,500, against its $995 unlimited plan; at 40 videos it is $6,000 against $1,495. The gap widens with volume because the plan is flat.
- ShortVids' $999 plan cannot be divided cleanly, because it includes two long-form videos as well as short clips.
A subscription beats per-video pricing only if you publish enough clips to use the capacity, and only if the queue and revision terms suit you.
What is included, and what is not
Read the scope before the price. The Contra listing from an editor in Lagos includes captions and subtitles, sound effects, royalty-free music when needed, color correction, a hook in the first three seconds, 9:16 formatting and 1080p export, with up to two revisions and 2 to 3 business days' delivery. beCreatives' subscription lists a dedicated editor, unlimited revision requests and 24 to 72 hour turnaround. Ad Snipper warns that capped-output shops share a queue, so turnaround can lag.
What moves the price: length, caption style, how much retention editing (zooms, cuts, sound design) you want, whether you supply finished footage or need clips cut from long video, the number of aspect ratios, and rush. beCreatives says rush delivery in 24 to 48 hours can raise prices by 50 to 100 percent.
What the ranking pages leave out
- Cost per finished clip. Pages list ranges per project and per month but not the division, so a $999 plan and a $150 clip look incomparable.
- What counts as a video. A package of "12 videos" may exclude long-form, extra aspect ratios or re-edits.
- Pakistan and South Asia. Videotto, the one global guide we read that breaks rates down by region, gives Southeast Asia figures but none for Pakistan or South Asia. The Pakistani pages we found were job boards, freelancer-marketing pages and a promotional page, not rate surveys, so we do not quote them. If you compare a Pakistani editor, ask for the same scope list and divide by clips.
- Dates. Several of the pages we read show no date at all.
How do short-form edits differ from ads and long video?
Organic Reels are priced lower than paid ads. ShortVids lists ads at $300 to $1,500 against $100 to $300 for social clips, because ads are tested in variations; see video ad editing cost. If your Shorts are cut from a long episode, YouTube video editing cost prices the long edit. If reels are one part of a posting plan, social media management cost shows how they sit in a monthly retainer.
How to compare quotes
Ask each editor for clips per month, length, aspect ratios, revision rounds, turnaround, who supplies music and captions, and who owns the project files. Request two samples in your format and ask what the price assumes about your footage.
AI clipping tools are a separate product. Videotto lists them at about $0 to $15 a month, but they cut footage you already have. They do not decide which hook works for your audience.
1920 Agency does not publish prices for video editing. We quote per clip or as a monthly bundle after seeing your footage and goals. See video editing for reels and social ads for how we work.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to edit a Reel, TikTok or Short?
It depends on the seller. beCreatives lists $30 to $150 per short-form video, a Contra editor starts at $50, Videotto lists $100 to $300 for a basic clip and $150 to $500 per TikTok or Reels project, and ShortVids says US brands typically spend $100 to $300 per clip.
Is a monthly editing package cheaper than paying per video?
Usually once you publish regularly. beCreatives' own example is 10 videos at $150 each, $1,500, against a $995 unlimited plan. Packages cap output or share a queue, so check turnaround and what counts as a video.
What does an unlimited video editing subscription include?
beCreatives lists a dedicated editor, unlimited revision requests and 24 to 72 hour turnaround at $495 to $2,000 a month. Ad Snipper notes that capped-output shops can lag because you share the queue with other clients.
How many revisions are normal?
Both Contra listings we read include two revision rounds per video. Subscriptions may offer unlimited requests. Ask for the number in writing.
Does rush delivery cost more?
beCreatives says delivery in 24 to 48 hours can raise prices by 50 to 100 percent.
Can AI tools replace a short-form editor?
Videotto lists AI clipping tools at about $0 to $15 a month, but they cut footage you already have. They do not replace someone who checks hooks, captions, claims and brand fit.
Does 1920 Agency publish prices for short-form editing?
No. 1920 Agency quotes per clip or as a monthly bundle after seeing your footage, the platforms you post to and how many clips you need.
